What an enjoyable evening! About ten of my colleagues and their “plus ones” gathered for dinner. In a local restaurant, we gathered in a comfortable room to ourselves and enjoyed some fine food. But the conversation and the camaraderie was the best part.
Most of us have been meeting regularly on Zoom, but there is something to be said for being together in person. Separation is just another thing this pandemic has caused. But tonight, we celebrated together, laughed, and even sang Happy Birthday, as carefully as we could. It was glorious!
