How is the congregation salt and light for the world? The writing of the sermon for Sunday came down to this question. After all, in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5), Jesus says we ARE salt and light. Therefore, with God in and through us, we are meant to (and do) shine and transform the world, all to God’s glory and the building up of God's Kingdom. But in what ways, specifically, is this congregation salt and light in the world? I could name several, but the idea came to ask the congregation to give their own input.
