The WELCA (Women of the ELCA) designated this day as Bold Women Sunday. A day to give thanks for the bold women in the world. Who are the bold women? Well, I can think of several examples based on women I know who are bold (a person of action):
- Those who work as advocates for others
- Those who raise children
- Those who teach
- Those who speak up for the underdog
- Those who cook and clean
- Those who work at home - and those who work away from home
- Those who forgive
- Those who encourage
