Had an opportunity to attend an appreciation lunch for volunteers in a program called "RSVP." This program involves hundreds of retired folks who give freely of their time to help make a difference in the community.
I was overwhelmed by the impact these folks make - thousands of hours making sure homebound seniors receive hot meals, welcoming visitors to the community, making sure hungry folks can receive food staples and/or a meal, and many more. As the brochure states: because of you, peoples’ lives were brightened and our community is a better place to live.
Thank you to those who don’t let a little “age” get in their way of serving and helping! It's definitely inspiring!
