It is something I have always thought of doing, but just never joined - a Book Club. There is a long-established one where I serve, and I’m honored to have become a part of it. The books are chosen by the hostess for the month, and have been varied in type and author.
Perhaps, however, the draw to Book Club is not the snacks at the gathering (although they are good!), or the reading of the chosen book, but the conversation. The time to come together around a common literary work and talk about it. To share ideas, opinions, and ponderings. It’s as much fun as I thought it might be.
But then, so is Bible Study. And I’ve always LOVED that, so I’m not surprised! Just pleased!
