What an amazing night as the 2016-17 confirmands enjoyed a Celebration Dinner and the presentation of their “projects.” Their assignment was to make a creative expression of the thing/learning/event that stood out to them the most in their last year of learning. There were musical presentations, a “news brief,” baking of bread for Holy Communion, art work, and a poem. Quite creative, all of them! And a reminder that even when they don’t seem to be paying any attention, the Holy Spirit IS at work.
And when we ended our gathering, as we do at the end of each lesson, with prayer, the Holy Spirit was surely present as adults and youth prayed together. God is not only good, but awesome!!!

PS I have said this before, but I’m certainly going to miss meeting weekly with these youth!!
